CSA STAR
CSA STAR is the Cloud Security Alliance assurance program for cloud services, and it is built on the Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM). The matrix groups cloud-specific security and privacy controls into 17 domains and makes clear which of them the provider owns and which are shared with customers. Cloud and SaaS providers publish a self-assessment questionnaire (Level 1) or obtain a third-party audit or certification (Level 2) to show customers how their service is secured.
